BRESSER NightExplorer 15x70 Astronomy Binoculars

The BRESSER NightExplorer 15x70 is a powerful, high light-gathering binocular designed primarily for astronomical observation, while also being an excellent choice for long-distance terrestrial and nature observation during the day. Its large 70 mm objective lenses collect plenty of light, making the binoculars particularly effective in low-light conditions and when exploring the night sky.

The 15x magnification reveals plenty of detail at longer distances, making the NightExplorer suitable for observing the Moon, star fields and brighter celestial objects as well as distant terrestrial subjects.

Excellent light-gathering capability

The large 70 mm objective lenses are particularly beneficial for twilight and astronomical observations, allowing a substantial amount of light to enter the optical system. BaK-4 Porro prisms combined with fully multi-coated optics help reduce unwanted reflections while improving light transmission and image contrast.

The specially corrected eyepieces, consisting of 5 lens elements in 3 groups, provide detailed images with excellent sharpness towards the edges of the field of view.

Stable viewing at 15x magnification

At 15x magnification, even small hand movements can become noticeable. For this reason, the NightExplorer 15x70 comes with a lightweight aluminium tripod and sturdy ball head, providing a stable and comfortable viewing platform.

This is particularly useful during longer astronomical observations or when studying distant terrestrial subjects. The binoculars provide a 77 m field of view at 1,000 m, offering a useful overview despite the high magnification.

Individual eyepiece focusing

The NightExplorer 15x70 features individual focusing for each eyepiece. For astronomical observations, the focus can be set precisely once and usually requires little or no further adjustment while viewing objects at infinity.

A generous ±8 diopter adjustment compensates for differences between the user's eyes, while the foldable rubber eyecups make the binoculars comfortable for spectacle wearers.

With a close focusing distance of approximately 10 metres, the NightExplorer is also suitable for terrestrial nature and landscape observation.

Weather-resistant and robust

The binoculars feature an IPX6 waterproof construction, making them suitable for use in damp and rainy outdoor conditions. The optical system is argon filled, helping to prevent internal fogging when temperatures or humidity levels change.

Ergonomic rubber armour provides a secure grip while also offering protection against minor impacts and knocks during outdoor use.

Both the binoculars and the supplied tripod can be transported in the included padded backpack, making it easy to carry the complete observation setup to your preferred location.
