Its discreet, refined “P” design without the red Leica logo gives the camera a clean and professional appearance, while the robust metal body, IP54 protection, and high manufacturing standards ensure confident long-term use.

The 44 MP BSI full-frame sensor delivers highly detailed images with a wide dynamic range, natural tonal transitions, and excellent color reproduction. When even higher resolution is required, the Multishot mode allows images of up to 176 MP, making it especially useful for product photography, landscapes, fine art reproduction, and large-format prints.

The Leica SL3-P features an advanced hybrid autofocus system that combines phase detection, contrast detection, and depth mapping. With 819 phase-detection AF points and intelligent subject recognition for people, animals, and vehicles, the camera provides fast and precise focusing even in dynamic situations. It supports up to 8K Open Gate recording in the native 3:2 aspect ratio, giving creators maximum freedom for cropping and reframing in post-production, whether the final output is horizontal, vertical, or traditional 16:9 format. In addition, 5.9K 60p and 4K 120p recording options make the camera suitable for professional video workflows, slow-motion footage, and hybrid content creation.

The Leica SL3-P fits seamlessly into modern professional workflows. With the Leica FOTOS app, the camera can be quickly connected to a smartphone or tablet for remote control, file transfer, geotagging, and firmware updates. Camera-to-Cloud functionality with Adobe Frame.io support, as well as tethering compatibility with Capture One and Lightroom Classic, makes the camera well suited for studio and production environments.

The camera features two memory card slots: CFexpress Type B and SD UHS-II. This enables fast data handling, high-speed continuous shooting, and reliable recording of demanding video formats. HDMI 2.1 Type A, USB-C 3.1 Gen 2, microphone and headphone connections, and timecode support further expand its professional usability.
