The Nocpix OMNI L19R is a versatile multispectral binocular combining 8K daytime digital imaging, digital night vision and thermal imaging within a single compact device. Instead of switching between separate optical systems as lighting conditions change, the OMNI allows the user to move between digital and thermal observation throughout the day and night.
At the heart of its digital channel is an exceptionally high-resolution 8192 × 6144-pixel 8K sensor with a 1.2 μm pixel pitch. With more than four times the pixel count of a conventional 4K imaging system, it retains significantly more image information, particularly when higher magnification is applied.
8K digital imaging
The OMNI's 8K sensor is designed to preserve fine details such as animal outlines, fur and other small features that may become less distinct when a lower-resolution image is digitally enlarged.
A 50 mm F1.8 objective lens is used for the digital channel. According to the manufacturer's data, the F1.8 aperture collects approximately 23% more light than F2.0 and around 49% more than F2.2, improving image brightness in challenging low-light environments.
Nocpix's proprietary ISP image-processing system supports digital imaging in illumination levels down to approximately 0.001 lux and uses a 140 dB ultra-wide dynamic range.
Three scene-specific image algorithms optimise the image for daylight, twilight and low-light observation.
Digital night vision with interchangeable IR illumination
The digital imaging system can also operate as a full night-vision channel using the interchangeable 850/940 nm IR illuminator.
This means the OMNI can operate as a daytime digital binocular, an infrared-assisted digital night-vision device and a thermal binocular – all within a single platform.
384 × 288 thermal sensor with NETD ≤15 mK
The L19R thermal channel uses a 384 × 288 resolution, 12 μm thermal detector with an excellent NETD ≤15 mK thermal sensitivity.
Combined with a 50 Hz refresh rate, the system provides smooth imaging and is capable of revealing subtle temperature differences within the observed scene.
The thermal channel uses a 19 mm F0.9 lens with a base magnification of 1.5×. Its 13.8 × 10.4° field of view covers approximately 24.3 × 18.2 metres at 100 metres.
Maximum thermal detection range is specified at up to 986 metres.
Wide field of view and intuitive zoom control
The L19R's 1.5× thermal base magnification provides a relatively wide field of view, making it particularly useful for scanning larger areas.
The digital channel provides 3× base magnification, while magnification can be adjusted using a conveniently positioned digital zoom ring.
One-motion operation
The controls have been designed around natural finger movement. The digital and thermal focusing controls are positioned for quick access, while switching between digital and thermal channels requires minimal interaction.
A simplified four-button control layout reduces unnecessary complexity and makes the device easier to operate in darkness or while wearing gloves.
The centrally positioned zoom wheel can be reached without changing grip, allowing fast magnification adjustments during observation.
Electronic image stabilisation
Built-in EIS electronic image stabilisation helps reduce image shake caused by hand movement. Its benefit becomes increasingly noticeable at higher magnification levels, where even small movements can make observation more difficult.
High-resolution AMOLED viewing
The OMNI uses a 0.5-inch 1600 × 1200 AMOLED display system for detailed viewing.
A large 12 mm exit pupil makes it easier to acquire the full image quickly and helps reduce eye fatigue during extended observation sessions.
1000 m laser rangefinder and ballistic calculation
An integrated laser rangefinder provides distance measurement out to 1000 metres.
The device also supports ballistic calculation, providing additional reference information alongside the measured distance.
Compact and robust
The familiar binocular-style shape provides natural two-handed handling. A magnesium-alloy housing and anti-slip exterior combine low weight with durability for outdoor use.
The OMNI measures just 198 × 144 × 75 mm and weighs approximately 900 g without batteries.
Power is provided by an internal battery together with two replaceable 18650 batteries, delivering up to approximately 7.5 hours of operation. The replaceable batteries support polarity-free insertion, making battery changes easier in darkness.
The device also features 64 GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi and app connectivity, and N-Link support.
