Newly developed for the EDX 8x30 Fieldstar, the PHC140 phase correction coating prevents all unwanted wave optical effects at 99 percent dose, leaving even the smallest blur.
With the EDX 8x30 Fieldstar, the optical image operates at the maximum resolution that can be reproduced according to the current state of the art. This is guaranteed by the special DDlucid coating, with which the Schmidt-Pechan roof prism is supplemented with two roof surfaces. This coating from the Japanese photo industry is a further development of the well-known and proven ELR coating (Extra Low Reflection). DDlucid is one of the most effective binocular coatings. Currently, only premium binoculars have a similarly sophisticated coating.
When developing the binoculars, DDoptics attached great importance to the particularly large field of view in addition to high-quality construction and coating. The result is a field of view of 151 m for the "EDX 8x30", which meets even the highest expectations. This is a record for 8x30 binoculars. It should be emphasized that, despite the large field of view, distortions are barely noticeable and the image is sharp right to the edge.
