The front lens with a diameter of 45 mm and the apochromatic ED lens element provide a bright, brilliant image without chromatic aberration. As with all Pirschler binoculars, DDoptics relies on the Abbe-König system for prism placement to achieve the best possible light transmission.
Measuring ranges of up to 3 km are available with the built-in laser. However, this range is highly dependent on external conditions, such as air temperature or reflections from the target. In case of 40 degree heat and humid air, this distance can be reduced to 1200-1500 m. The most accurate ranges are available at a temperature of 20 degrees - in the case of a concrete building.
The display of the rangefinder can be adjusted in several steps for the ambient light conditions. The distance can be displayed on its own or with an angle measure, but even the ballistic distance and the angle can be displayed.
The measurement unit can be changed from meters to yards.
Continuous distance measurement can be performed by holding down the measuring button.
